Why Does Easter Matter?

I love this time of year. With flowers beginning to bloom and trees starting to bud, I am reminded of new life that the spring season brings.

It’s also a time to celebrate Easter that can go beyond bunnies and baskets — colored eggs and beautiful dresses. Easter is the most significant and important event in Christianity.

But, why?

Easter Matters Because He Lives!

It’s God declaration of acceptance and victory.

God accepted Jesus’ perfect life and sacrificial death on our behalf as the full payment of all our sins. Three days later, after being placed in a sealed tomb, Jesus rose again. Easter points to the empty tomb and God’s declaration of victory over death and sin.

Faith receives the full benefit of what Christ has done for us.

The resurrection of Jesus means that God keeps his promises. You can place your trust in him and be with Christ forever in heaven.
